A classic Dordogne villa perched high up on a rock face, Belvedere is a private hilltop retreat designed to take full advantage of the breath-taking views overlooking the twin valleys of the Dordogne and the Céou.  It has been a family home for over 40 years, as well as a source of inspiration to many artists, including the owner’s mother. A fabulous terrace runs the full length of the house, and below a large pool deck extends out over the valley on stilts.  Indoors, a home away from home awaits, with antiques and artwork, as well as many warm, traditional features.

The villa provides a haven of peace and quiet, even in August, but is close to amenities such as the markets of Sarlat, Saint-Cyprien and Cenac as well as several stunning châteaux and bastide towns.  Four air conditioned bedrooms can accommodate eight people.  There is a heated 11m pool with an unbelievable view.

There is 11kW, 3-phase Tesla charging, using the red UMC adaptor, as well as 2.3kW Schuko charging.

The village of Castelnaud, 5 minutes drive down in the valley, contains an excellent baker, butcher, small grocery store, two restaurant/café bars plus a post office and a 24hr cash-point facility, as well as the essential balloon flights, canoe and bicycle hire, and 2 car charging points fitted with Type 2 sockets providing 20kW charging which are cheaply accessible via a card from https://chargemap.com or the MObiVE App, see http://www.mobive.fr.  Most villages and towns nearby have similar cheap charging.

The owner drives a blue Model S 100D, so all Tesla owners qualify for the “Friend and Family” rental rates.

La Retraite – Beautiful home with four bedrooms sleeping 8 (one twin room is for young children) is 1.5 miles from the medieval town of Sarlat. The house is perfectly located in the golden triangle formed between Sarlat, Beynac and Montfort with easy access to the many surrounding tourist attractions nearby.

The house also has a Type 2 Tesla Destination Charger – 3 phase (400v x 32A) – 12.8kw

Detached, restored and extended with high quality fittings, decor and furniture making this house rather special, it has all the creature comforts you could possibly need.

Private garden with heated swimming pool in the summer, wooden decking and veranda for your sole use. We have installed an electrically operated retractable floating safety cover which will enclose the pool and ensure it can be made off limits to children, in the event someone falls into the pool the floating cover will support their weight.

On the Ground floor there is a large master bedroom which has an en-suite shower area with doors out to the veranda. Lovely twin bedded room with dedicated shower room across the hall. Separate WC in hallway.

Large well equipped dining kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob and large fridge freezer and doors to the terrace.
Lovely lounge also with doors to the terrace, UK satellite television and Bluray/DVD player with surround sound. Please note we do not have French television channels (Il n’y a pas des chaines televisuelles Francaise). Quality leather sofas to seat six in comfort, great room in which to relax and unwind.

On the first floor there is a superb bedroom with a vaulted beamed ceiling in the tower, own bathroom with WC across the landing. Additional twin bedroom room available on this floor which is only suitable for children.

Less than a mile to the nearest supermarket and it is possible to walk or cycle into the medieval centre of Sarlat, where the choice of restaurants and bars abound (but you do need to be fit, as it’s hilly).
Quiet neighbourhood set along a wooded lane leading out of Sarlat on the western side of the town so no need to crawl through Sarlat in busy peak period traffic when heading to the majority of tourist destinations.

Lockable storage for bikes etc available in the garage and off road parking for several cars.

Part covered dining terrace with furniture and outdoor stone BBQ.

To the rear of the house is a wood which provides privacy and the garden and pool at the front of the house are screened from the quiet road, the garden is mainly laid to lawn plus the decking area.
The swimming pool is 8x4m and is heated by a heat pump in peak season from May to September. The heat pump can raise the temperature of the pool between 5 – 7 degrees centigrade and is set to heat the pool to a maximum of 29 degrees centigrade.

Washing machine and dryer provided in the basement garage.
Just over one hours drive (70km) from Bergerac airport with flights from Edinburgh, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, East Midlands, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and London Stansted and just under one hours drive (48km) from Brive airport with flights from London Stansted and London City. Flights from several UK airports are also provided to Limoges which is about 95 minutes drive away.

Fell in love with France and in particular the Dordogne many years ago and have been coming down here on Holiday most years ever since. Changing circumstances brought with them the opportunity to achieve my dream of owning a house in the Dordogne, and after considerable searching and viewing properties I found the perfect one! I wanted to be close to a town yet set in a rural location and the heated swimming pool was a must. The house has all I wanted and whilst being a traditional building also has a modern contemporary feeling inside.

Felt like home when I saw the house and we loved the large rooms and the ensuite facilities.

The kitchen is well equipped and the house is flooded with light from the large veranda windows on the ground floor and the dual aspect of the windows in the tower bedroom. The pool was a must have and the large decked area is perfect for relaxing and getting a good tan. Above all it’s private and the perfect place to relax.

It also benefits from a Type 2 EV charging point, which is somewhat of a rarity in the Dordogne.

A stylish two bedroom bungalow with off road parking and electric vehicle charging point.  Located on the quieter western side of the Isle Of Wight, between the Needles and Yarmouth (for the ferry to Lymington).

Greenridge is a spacious bungalow set in an elevated position which enhances its privacy and showcases the far reaching sea views.

The living room has a cosy log burner and there’s a Lacanche range cooker in the kitchen for those days when you want to eat in. You can stock up at the mini supermarket nearby. An oak stable door leads to the rear courtyard with a seating area and the lawned garden to the front makes a peaceful spot to relax in the sunshine.

When it’s time to get some rest, the master bedroom has a super king size bed and the second bedroom has zip and link beds offering flexible sleeping arrangements, and they both share the family bathroom.

There’s discreet off street parking and even an electric vehicle (EV) charging point, but there’s plenty within walking distance including Totland Bay and Colwell Bay, which both have fantastic restaurants overlooking the beach. Wander down here to view the stunning sunsets, it’s a sight not to be missed.

There are some fantastic walks on the doorstep including Tennysons Trail. The ever popular Tapnell Farm family attraction is also nearby as is Freshwater Bay with is water based activities.

It is then, the imposing and majestic Bla Bheinn looms into full view. Around Loch Slapin and on up the ever increasingly winding single track road where you may pass the local highland cattle and maybe even catch a glimpse of some of the abundant wildlife. You eventually arrive at our cottages where you can be sure to find a warm and cosy welcome waiting just for you.

Beautiful villa in a quiet location, only 1km from the centre of Praia da Luz. 5km from the historic town of Lagos. Panoramic views. Private pool. Not overlooked by neighbours. This is the quietest and by far the nicest part of the Algarve. Our house was built in 2003, and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and is on three split levels. The master bedroom, on the third level, has a super king sized bed, and it’s own terrace, which faces southwest and offers superb views. The other three bedrooms are on the second level. One has a double bed, one has twin beds, and the third has bunk beds and a bed settee. The latter room is ideal for children. All bedrooms are a similar size. The master bedroom and the double bedroom both have air-conditioning. On the ground floor, there is a lounge that has two patio doors opening onto a large patio area overlooking the pool. The lounge also has a wood burning fireplace, Wi-Fi fibre broadband, UK satellite smart TV, DVD, Wi-Fi Sonos music system, telephone, and there is a dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with thatched dining gazebo outside. There is a heated swimming pool, garden, and extensive exterior terraces with barbeque. There are sun beds, tables and chairs on the patios. The villa grounds are fenced, and there are locking gates, so it is secure for children. Casa Pôr do Sol is equipped to sleep 8 people, ideally 6 adults and 2 children. The building, furnishings and fittings are to a high standard. It has double glazing and central heating. There is a maid service three times a week (Mon, Thur, Sat). There is a private driveway, leading to the rear of the villa, where there is a Tesla 7.2kw wall charger. Driving to the Algarve in your Tesla is a delightful, and easy journey, with Tesla Superchargers conveniently located along the route (we can advise, as we drive this route regularly). Otherwise, fly to Faro, from which it is an easy 1 hour drive to the villa. We have some availability for 2020, and plenty of space for next year. The cottage is decorated in subtle grey colours, along with a selection of artwork and tasteful soft furnishings. A spacious living room with two comfy sofas invites you to curl up around the cosy multi-fuel burner, while the shaker style kitchen is a dream to cook in with all modern appliances and kitchen accessories.

Upstairs are two beautifully furnished bedrooms enjoying views across the Dales to Addleborough hill. There is also a family bathroom. Outside is a paved patio with garden furniture and a parking area.
The village has a well-stocked shop and a delicatessen where you can order a picnic to take with you on your travels. The three pubs in the village all provide local ales and homely fayre. There are plentiful walks along the banks of the nearby River Ure and the Askrigg Waterfalls Walk, which takes in both Whitfield Force and Mill Gill Force. For the more adventurous, try a climb up the hill of Addleborough across the dale. The Yorkshire Dales offer spectacular scenery and an abundance of walks of all ability levels to explore.

The historic town of Richmond, famed for its castle, Georgian theatre, riverside walks and abundance of independent shops and tea rooms, is around a 30-minute drive. The Forbidden Corner in Middleham, a quirky venue with its labyrinth of caves, folly and underground caverns is 13 miles away, and is hugely popular with families. Picturesque Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton are nearby and the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are a short drive away. Fishing can be found nearby. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 25 yards.

I offer detailing treatments to beautify, protect & maintain your Tesla.

A service is created to meet your needs for your vehicle, new or used. This can be anything from a safe maintenance wash & protection top-up, coating your new Tesla with ceramic paint protection to the pursuit of perfection in every detail. Below offers an insight into what can be done based on the work I have carried out for Tesla owners.

For new car owners looking to protect their vehicle:

  • Safe removal of contaminants picked up during storage and transit.
  • Removal of paint defects such as swirls, buffer trails, sanding marks, scratches and blemishes. Yes – new cars come with them – particularly Teslas!
  • Application of ceramic paint protection to add incredible gloss and reflectivity; ensure the car is quicker and easier to clean; and protects the paint for years without the need to top up the protection.
  • The alloys are protected in the same coating to repel brake dust, tar and dirt. Painted calipers are also coated.
  • Water etching is removed from the glass and sealed with a intensely hydrophobic coating. Water beads and rolls off of the glass meaning wipers are not required at 50mph+.

Model 3 – £1,000 (£575 to prepare and seal paintwork, £200 to seal the alloys and £225 for the glass (£70 for the windscreen only).

Model S – £1,250 (£750 to prepare and seal paintwork, £225 to seal the alloys and £275 for the glass (£75 for the windscreen only).

Model X – £1,450 (£900 to prepare and seal paintwork, £225 to seal the alloys and £325 for the glass (£85 for the windscreen only).

Restoring the gloss and reflectivity to paintwork:

  • A comprehensive safe wash of the vehicle to ensure the paintwork, alloys, calipers, trim, shuts and arches are cleansed without the process or products damaging the vehicle.
  • Contaminants that dull the paint are safely removed. Principally, iron contamination & tar spots. Less commonly tree sap, splattered insects and non-ferrous metals.
  • Highly skilled machine polishing removes paint defects such as swirl marks, scratches (can only be improved if scratch has penetrated deeper than the clear coat), etching from bird droppings and splattered insects).
  • If the car has been poorly polished at some previous point or has had any panels resprayed, the resulting common defects (buffer trails, sanding marks & over spray) are removed.

Protecting the surfaces:

  • As a Gyeon Certified Detailer, I have access the most advanced paint protection coatings in the world. The coating systems add incredible levels of gloss and reflectivity; protect the underlying surface for years without maintenance and maintain their hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties longer than any other coating.
  • These are used to protect the paintwork, alloys and calipers.
  • Trim is protected with most durable coating available, Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer.
  • Water etching can be removed from glass and sealed with Gtechniq G1 Clearvision Smart Glass. Water beads and rolls off of the glass meaning wipers are not required at 50mph+.
  • Leather is protected with Gtechniq L1 to help repell dirt, liquids and dye transfer.

Alloy wheel refurbishment & protection:

  • The narrow tyre walls can mean alloys are very easy to kerb. Wheels can be removed and refurbished whilst work continues on the rest of the car.
  • The alloys can be discretely protected from kerb damage with AlloyGators.

Maintaining the finish:

  • A car protected with the finest automotive coatings is incredibly easy to maintain. The wash guide offers advice on how to safely wash and dry the car without inflicting fresh swirls and light scratches. A maintenance wash kit can also be put together, taking advantage of the trade discounts I have with various suppliers.
  • Alternatively, vehicles can be booked in for a maintenance wash as and when the customer wishes.

Nestling in woodland & pasture, Low Costa Mill self-catering holiday cottages are set in a stunning, rural location, the mill stream gently flowing through the estate. The heated indoor swimming pool and large play area are firm favourites.

Grouped around and adjacent to the Low Costa Mill farmhouse, a collection of seven cottages have been skilfully and sympathetically adapted from former farm and mill buildings. Retaining many original features, such as exposed beams and brickwork, these cottages make an ideal base for families, small groups and couples, or for anyone who appreciates the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, but only 1 ½ miles away from the bustling town of Pickering.

All cottages are well equipped with colour TV, DVD player, DAB Radio, fridge, oven, microwave, most have dishwashers, all have a washing machine, or access to the laundry area. Travel Cots, highchairs and stairgates can all be provided at no additional cost. EV Charging for Type 2 (Tesla) vehicles available via Zappi charger.

Children of all ages will love the large grassy play area, equipped with swings, a climbing frame, goal posts, a basketball hoop, and giant outdoor board games. Whatever the weather you can be guaranteed hours of fun in the indoor heated swimming pool, for the really little ones there is an adjacent children’s pool. For fly fishing fanatics, you will find the Costa Beck is well stocked with trout and grayling, you may even catch a glimpse of the resident kingfishers and the shy grey heron.

Alternatively, why not take a stroll around the peaceful woodland walk, or wander around the duck pond to enjoy the wildlife.

We are open all year, with weekly breaks on a Friday-Friday basis, in the off season we specialise in short breaks, with a minimum of 3 nights. Each season has new delights to offer.

The resident owners, Dave and Tracy Goodfellow occupy the farmhouse, and are always on-hand for help and advice.
